She was raised by a German as well as an Italian father and a Taiwanese-speaking mother from Deptford Township. Katrina began acting in her teens when she won the award as Miss New Jersey Teen USA. Her professional career began with the director Adrian Picardi, and the web-series The Resistance. The show, which started out as a low-budget production was eventually picked up by Starz to create larger-scale shows and catapulted Katrina into the limelight. She was then cast in the role of a character on Spartacus: Blood and Sand. After a short time, Katrina became a household name due to the huge success of the show.
