In America, the early performing arts accomplishments of young Maureen FitzSimons (who we know as Maureen O'Hara) would definitely place her into the category of child prodigies. A child of Irish roots, surrounded as she was by gifted parents and family did this naturally. Maureen was born in this cosy refuge on the 17th of August 1920. She was raised by the family of her parents. Marguerita Lilburn fitzSimons' mother was a contralto. Charles FitzSimons managed a Dublin-based business and owned a share of "The Shamrock Rovers" a renowned Irish soccer team. Maureen FitzSimons is the second child of Charles FitzSimons. Maureen excelled as a sportswoman and was a gruelling athlete in games when she was young. She combined this interest with an equally natural gift for performing.
